Join & collaborate

We study humanoid locomotion, nonlinear control, trajectory optimization, robot learning, and assistive robotics. Read our research pages and recent papers to find a connection with your interests.

Prospective graduate students

For research inquiries, email Prof. Ayonga Hereid with your CV and a short explanation of the research problem you would like to work on. Point to relevant projects, papers, or technical experience, and include your intended degree and start term.

Graduate admission is handled through Ohio State’s degree programs. Consult the Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering graduate admissions page for current requirements, application dates, and the official process. A research inquiry does not replace an application; project availability and funding should be discussed directly.

Ohio State undergraduate students

Email Prof. Hereid with your CV or resume, relevant courses or projects, research interests, and anticipated availability. Experience with robot mechanics, control, programming, or experiments can help us identify a suitable research conversation.

Research and industry collaborators

For collaboration inquiries, describe the technical question, the robot or experimental setting, and the kind of contribution you have in mind. Include links to relevant work and any timing constraints. Contact hereid.1@osu.edu.
