Inside Cyber Suite

Models, methods, and experiments.

Robot modeling & simulation

Robot descriptions, kinematics, and dynamics connect with MuJoCo simulation and configurable terrain scenes.

Planning & whole-body control

Locomotion planners and task-based controllers share robot models and motion references, with explicit contact, friction, and actuator constraints.

Learning & policy execution

Python training workflows and ONNX policy interfaces support experiments that connect learned behavior with the C++ control stack.

Runtime & experiment analysis

The CORTA runtime composes control and planning at different rates. Structured logging, Python analysis, and Rerun visualization help inspect the resulting behavior.

A shared foundation for robot behavior

Robotics research brings together models, algorithms, and experiments that often evolve at different speeds. Cyber Suite is the Cyberbotics Lab’s actively developed software platform for connecting these pieces in a modular research workflow.

Its C++ core provides reusable modeling, control, simulation, and runtime components. Python interfaces support algorithm development, learning workflows, and analysis. Current development includes integrated Digit and TRON1 simulation applications, locomotion planners, whole-body control, and learned-policy execution.

Designed for connected research

  • Compose and compare methods. Develop planners, controllers, and policies around shared robot models and explicit interfaces.
  • Study the complete behavior. Connect planning and control with simulation, then inspect commands, state, contact information, and recorded outcomes.
  • Keep experiments understandable. Use application configurations, structured logs, and visualization to connect an observed result to the methods that produced it.

Cyber Suite is under active development. This overview describes its research focus and current software components; capabilities continue to evolve as integration and experimental evaluation progress.
